Muslims commemorate the 26th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide

LMRBT-Muftiate and Muslims in Lithuania celebrate 26 years of Srebrenica genocide

Today marks the 26th anniversary of the events of the Srebrenica genocide. Muslims around the world join the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and commemorate more than 8,000 the victims in various ways.

The LMRBT-Muftiate and Muslims in Lithuania condemn hatred based on race, color or nationality and call on all religious communities, political parties and opinion leaders to adhere to a zero-tolerance policy against hatred, racism and discrimination against people of other faiths.

We stand with the relatives of the victims and with those who are tirelessly seeking justice in their own name to this day. The tragic events of the past remind us of the need to be united and to strive for a better future.

May Allah be merciful to martyrs, alleviate the pain of loss for families and their loved ones who are traumatized by this painful past and persecuted by pain.
