The Srebrenica genocide: 25 years of events

#Srebrenica25

1995 July 11-16, happened the most dramatic massacre in the eastern part of Bosnia, in the city of Srebrenica. It was the most significant war crime in Europe since the end of World War II.

More than 8,000 men and boys of the Muslim faith were killed in 5 days; nearly 30,000 women, children and the elderly were forcibly deported as part of a mass ethnic cleansing campaign. They were all people of the Muslim faith. This crime took place against innocent civilians in the heart of Europe.

Thus, the LMRBT-Muftiate calls on all religious communities, political parties, and public opinion leaders to adhere to zero-tolerance policies against hatred, racism, and discrimination.

Chairman of the Board of LMRBT-Muftiate Mufti A.Beganskas condemns hatred based on race, color, or nationality. Only people without faith can easily commit such crimes.

May Allah be merciful to martyrs, alleviate the pain of loss for families and their loved ones who are traumatized by this painful past and persecuted by pain.
