Halal certificate
The Council of Lithuanian Muslim Religious Communities - Muftiate (Lietuvos musulmonų religinių bendruomenių taryba -Muftiatas or LMRBT-Muftiatas) is a official Halal certification body that certifies food, non-food products, slaughterhouses, restaurants, etc. The LMRBT-Muftiatas issues a Halal certificate that meets the requirements of the Halal standards under Islamic legislation.
LMRBT-Muftiatas is the highest Muslim Sunni religious community in Lithuania, which has the authority to issue Halal certificates to individuals and legal entities.
What does it mean Halal?
By Islamic legislation, Halal means « lawful » or « permissible ».
« And eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And fear Allah, in whom you are believer. » (Quran 5 :88)
What does it mean Halal certificate?
The Halal certificate means that the product meets the requirements of Halal under Islamic legislation. Such products may be consumed by the Muslim community, and the products are guaranteed not to contain anything prohibited under Islamic legislation.

Certification process
The Halal Certificate issued by our LMRBT - Muftiatas follows the regulatory European Union, national legislation and Halal standards approved by the LMRBT - Muftiatas Halal Certification Authority, including any amendments and additions thereto.
The Halal certificate issued by LMRBT - Muftiatas is valid in all European Union countries, Scandinavian countries, Australia, Balkans, Belarus, Ukraine, regions of the Russian Federation and more.
